Manon\u2019s work grows from her fascination with nature, deepened by her studies in ecology. Rhythms, patterns, diversity, complexity, and the constant search for balance in natural systems are things she also recognizes within herself and in human relationships. Through her work, Manon explores the different sides of herself that coexist\u2014sometimes clashing, sometimes complementing one another. Her images move between two poles: a quiet form of protest against injustice and an imaginative vision of how the world could also be: more loving, more just, and in harmony.<\/p>\n
Vivid, bright colors; drawn from the ten years Manon lived and worked in Francophone Africa\u2014add an extra layer of energy and meaning to her work. She often combines her illustrative imagery with short texts, or \u201cstreams of thought.\u201d With a love for picture books and children\u2019s literature, she nurtures this interplay between image and language, reminding herself of the power of stories to open up new worlds.<\/p>\n
Manon enjoys experimenting with techniques, materials, compositions, and color, giving herself the freedom to discover and shape her own artistic style.
