We cordially invite you to attend a lecture by Professor Colin Rhodes, as part of the exhibition \u201cHow To Draw A Cactus\u201d featuring work by Jon Sarkin.<\/p>\n
We are organizing an inspiring evening with Colin Rhodes\u2014artist, renowned art historian, curator, and author of Outsider Art: Spontaneous Alternatives. Rhodes was dean at the University of Sydney and Kingston University (London) and is currently Distinguished Professor of Art at the College of Fine Arts, Hunan Normal University (China).<\/p>\n
Rhodes, known for his groundbreaking research on self-taught and non-mainstream artists, will talk about the life and work of Jon Sarkin, a remarkable contemporary American artist who underwent profound changes \u2013 physically, psychologically and emotionally \u2013 after suffering a severe stroke.<\/p>\n
Rhodes explores new perspectives on Outsider Art and looks forward to engaging with you in an open discussion.<\/p>\n
