This week, a new work by Laan Irodjojo was unveiled at the RET headquarters on Laan op Zuid. The painting was commissioned by the RET and has been given a prominent place in the building. The painting depicts a RET tram, with the RET headquarters in the background.

During the unveiling of the work, attention was drawn to Laan’s long career as an artist and his distinctive style. We are grateful to the RET for the trust and pride they have shown in commissioning Laan. It is special that his work now has a permanent place in a building where so many people visit every day. We hope that employees and visitors will pause to look at the painting from time to time and view it with just as much attention as Laan gave it when he created it.
