Bart Overgaauw

Bart Overgaauw (1990)

Bart might come across shy and introverted but his inner world is broad and interesting and this is portrayed through his artwork. The unusual aspect to Barts work is that he uses acrylics as if they were oil paint, managing to manipulate them perfectly. His inspiration comes from old masters and everyday scenes. Bart doesn’t just limit himself to acrylic but has managed to master a broad range of mediums. He is able to depict a realistic scene, but also a world of fantasy in any material and medium he chooses. Although very young, Bart shows a lot of promise for the future.
