Tobias Tebbe in ‘How to Draw a Cactus’
We are delighted that Tobias Tebbe is part of our exhibition How to Draw a Cactus.
Driven by an unstoppable urge to draw since childhood, this Arnhem-based artist creates alternative world maps full of fantasy and humor. In his imaginary Dutch Democratic Republic—with Baarle as its capital and Checkpoint Charles as its border crossing—historical figures mingle with monsters, elves, and family members. The result is a hall of mirrors full of laughing mirrors in which boundaries, both geographical and personal, are explored. He works at Atelier 23 van Siza in Arnhem.
In addition to his work in the exhibition, his art book is also available for purchase at our gallery—a beautiful reference work full of drawings, stories, and wonder, at a great price.
Come by, discover his world, and take a piece of Tobias Tebbe home with you!
The exhibition How to Draw a Cactus is on display at our gallery until January 3.
