Rini’s mural has found a new home in the neighborhood. The work pays tribute to Rien de Otter, better known as Rini, a beloved resident of the Oude Westen who spent years bringing people together.

For Galerie Atelier Herenplaats, this mural holds even greater significance. The original design was created by artist Grietje Killian, who passed away this year. The mural’s return is therefore also a tribute to her. Together with several Herenplaats artists, we attended the unveiling of the new version, created by Marijn Gronert. We are delighted that this special work is once again on display in the neighborhood and that the memory of both Rini and Grietje remains so vivid.
