Industry & Identity: Herenplaats x @progressiveartstudiocollective

This exhibition is an international collaborative exhibition bringing together artists from Rotterdam and Detroit in a dialogue about the cities they live and work in.

Through drawings and paintings, the artists explore how industry, labour, music, architecture, and people shape the identity of a city. Rotterdam and Detroit may have distinct histories, but they share a spirit of resilience, determination, and continuous reinvention.

The exhibition is presented simultaneously in Rotterdam and Detroit, at PASC Detroit Gallery and Galerie Atelier Herenplaats.

Artists from Detroit in this exhibition are: Jeremy Taylor, John Peterson, Jotina Ballard, Lewis Foster, Lorenzo Waters, Mandy Demorest, Nick Granch, Ray Smith, Ryan McDonagh, Ashley Hawkins, Brahem Shaw, Hugh Rollocks, Jerri Burks, Richard Marshall & Keisha Miller.
